Get That Washington High Music
All the top 40 hits from those years at Washington! Listed by year from 1945 to 1999. We are all powerfully imprinted with the sounds, the songs, and the melodies that played in our heads, or in our headphones, as we walked the halls of Washington. Whether it's Bing Crosby, The Platters, The Beatles, Earth Wind And Fire, Duran Duran, TLC, or Britney Spears, all your music is listed here.

Read And Be Published
This area reads like a magazine, with thoughtful or fun topics started by any listie, and with follow-ups written in the same spirit. The entire conversation is preserved in graphical form, and it's a lot of fun to read.

Chat Live And "In Person" With Schoolmates
One night a week we meet online for live, in-person real-time chats where the wisecracks fly and which, unexpectedly, can be hilariously, riotously funny. I remember one that went on for four hours and where we could not stop laughing at all the silly, witty, and funny comments we traded long into the night. Check into the online group to be informed of when the next chat is called.

Free Document Reader

Free Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader
will enable you to view the documents on this site, which are in in the very cool PDF format. This format was chosen because it has zoom functions built-in so you can zero in on details in the images, and because of its security.

Acrobat is very useful because many graphic documents on the internet are in the PDF format. It's something that should be in your toolbox anyway. In fact, it may be possible that you've already got it installed.

The 1976 Yearbook - Gracious courtesy of Janice (N.) P. '78
Our Janice came to visit San Francisco in April of 2003 and she brought treasure; the 1976 yearbook. It's going to be a job and a half, but I will scan the entire yearbook and put it out on CD at no cost for people who don't have one.

The 1976 Yearbook Inside Cover - Gracious courtesy of: Janice (N.) P. '78
Inside the 1976 yearbook was a gorgeous drawing, in the true hippie era style. Thanks to Janice and my trusty scanner (seen above scanning this painting) we can all now see it.

Alternate 1976 Yearbook Cover - Gracious courtesy of: Bernice F. L.. '78
Thanks to Bernice we can all enjoy a peek at this beautiful cover featuring a collage of paintings that seem to have inspired the murals at the school. Does anyone know the story behind this alternate cover? Please write me and we'll put it on this web site with credit to you.

1980 Yearbook
I have rescanned the 1980 yearbook and will be distributing it on CD.

The 1980 Class Picture - Refined courtesy of: Megan S. '80
This is pretty cool! Thanks to our Megan who loaned this picture in 2000, we are able to share it with everyone. It has been massively photoshopped to de-age the paper.

Buttons
Were you a clean eagle? Did you get to shave those coveted five minutes off each period on Fridays? Then you deserve to get the buttons to prove it! At least in high-res PDF format.

Eagle Newspaper
A hard-hitting journal that uncovered all the goings-on at Washington. The pictured cover is the very last one from our year, and reports the rave reviews earned by our semester play, Bye Bye Birdie.
Bye Bye Birdie program
A wonderfully memorable rendering of this fun, entertaining musical that had the school buzzing with how good it was. I remember Mr. Leach before psych class talking to one of the cast and saying "I am hearing that you're getting rave reviews". As the light cage geek and sorta-allowed-to-hang-around stage crew member, I was able to see four wonderful performances by this great cast.

1980 goodies - present

Biographies
Like A&E's but better, this page is populated by the self-penned biographies or our regulars in the online group wash80, accompanied by their yearbook picture. It's a great way for the people of wash80 to keep track of who is who and to put a name together with a face.

Party pics
Over one thousand, one hundred pictures of all the fun we've had in the past five years. Ever since dreamworld begat the online group wash80 in 1999, we have had dozens of parties, picnics, and get-togethers. We have posted the memory books of our fun here.

People pics
This is the space where people contribute any picture they want to share with the rest of wash80. Whether self-portraits, or "look at my cute kids" pictures, this is where people just put up what they want to share with the group.

25th

1980's 25-year reunion, 2005
The committee is planning our 25th reunion right now. We have decided to make it a multi-year reunion that brings back all the friends we used to know from all our years at Washington - everyone from 1978 through 1983. If you know anyone from those years, please pass on their email address, or turn them on to this web site.
