Adult Day Services Program

The ADSP is the portion of our program which operates the Council on Aging's Adult Day Center.

Adult day centers -- once called adult day care -- serve those seniors 60 years old or older who need more individualized care while away from their family members. These clients have trouble with some of the day-to-day functions that many of us take for granted due to illness or injury.
Family caregivers can leave their loved ones at an adult day center each day while at work, or less frequently while they get a break from their responsibilities by going shopping, getting their hair done, or spending time with other friends -- just to name a few options.
The adult day centers are state licensed and provide lunch, nutritious snacks, activities, games, and outings. Many clients also receive transportation into the center and back home.
Since this portion of our program is not federally funded, instead of accepting donations, the ADSP charges clients $25/day for their services.
